On you and you with our trees The around 59 km long circular hiking trail is dedicated to the topic of "tree medicine". Thirty panels provide information about the healing power, mythology and effects of trees. Basically, tree medicine heals with the life force of the trees. Plant parts are also used in folk medicine, homeopathy, Bach flower therapy and of course in traditional European medicine. The oak leaf was chosen as the symbol of the path because the oak stands for strength and endurance.

The circular hiking trail with a total length of about 59 km is ideal to walk in three days with stages of about 20 km. If you want, you can of course hike the path in two days. Overnight stays along the route offer the opportunity to arrange the hike individually. If you prefer to stay overnight with only one accommodation provider, you can take a taxi to the respective starting point or have it picked up from the respective end point of the stages. Various sights invite you to visit and linger. Some of them are freely accessible, such as the Waxenberg castle ruins and the Wendenstein. If you would like a guided tour and visit (Piberstein Castle, Unterkagererhof Monument), please contact the responsible operators in advance and make an appointment. The chancel of the forest chapel Maria Rast can be seen from the outside. About five minutes away from the forest chapel - follow the signs - is the source of the "Holy Water", which is supposed to help with eye problems. The water springs from the lap of a figure of Mary in a wooden spring house. Five rest areas were created along the way in 2019: "Am Pesenbach", "Des Wissens", "In der Wiese", "Im Schatten der Buche" and "Mit Weitblick". These beautiful places invite you to linger and take in nature with all its sounds and smells. As a reminder of this moment, everyone is welcome to take home a postcard that is kept in a box on site.

Starting point: The trail can be started anywhere. The only thing to note is that the signposting of the circular trail is only in one direction - counter-clockwise. Follow the trail markings. A hike of 3 days is recommended.
Destination: Since the trail can be started anywhere, the destination is also different. The only thing to note is that the signposting of the circular trail is only in one direction - counter-clockwise. Follow the trail markings.
