Bikepark Böhmerwald in Aigen-Schlägl

The new location of the BUB Bikepark Aigen-Schlägl was planned and built by the renowned trail building company Alpreif from autumn 2021.

Update 18.07.2022: The lines have been shaped. The fencing is in place and the course has been completed in terms of safety. The newly built lines, tables and rip-roads have been stabilised with a vibrating plate and a lot of teamwork, cleared of weeds and may now be used by BUB members. Any unauthorised entry or use, as well as damage of any kind, will be punished accordingly. The entire area is monitored live by motion detectors and NVR (Night-Vision-Ready) cams.

What is Dirtjump? (German: "Schmutzsprung"): Dirtjump is a variation of MTB cycling. It refers to jumping over mounds or wooden kickers, primarily with BMX or dirt bikes. (Dirt bikes are jump-oriented and technical variations of the mountain bike). The aim of a jump is also to perform one of numerous tricks "on air", with great recognition from riders and the audience.

What is a bike park? The BUB Bikepark is also a sports facility with mounds of different heights, wooden kickers and sloped landings for practising dirt jumping with appropriate bikes or other MTB bike variants. It was designed to refine curves, jumping and landing techniques and is currently considered a showcase project, which is financed by membership and sponsor contributions and is constantly growing. Wood or metal kickers (jumps), wall rides (wooden walls of various lengths and inclinations) or drops (elevated wooden bridges with sloping landing zones), for example, are also possible.
